Religion speaks no truth while music never lies. He who has ears for music also has ears for truth. Just depends on how much you want to listen to the truth.

While on the other hand, religion coddles you into virtue and other nonsensical wisdom that should be a given into culture like love and happiness. I never read the Bible properly even after reading the Bible and after going to Protestant church with my dad. When I went to Catholic Church as I was supposed to with my grampa, I felt the majesty of God so of course he wants to make himself known as a majestic being.l instead of being humbled by his creation. Of course I should have went to Catholic school instead of any man's church. I can't read the Bible without tripping balls and yet God himself doesn't believe me. and God claims I don't love him. I call that injustice and partial. I call that getting tricked by recidivism.

Well guess what? This frog is about to have the last laugh. This frog will be the bane of God and will be the end of the world as we know it. God knows I forget about him. I don't have the accurate mind for life and death I think in terms of reality as in real. Eternal life is not written in a book. Life is on the outside.

And you wanted the keys to the kingdom so bad, that it would be impossible to move civilization forward without being anonymous. Fame is dead in heaven but here in hell it reigns all supreme. Considering some "Great American Novel" types.

Currently considering:
>Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
>Lolita
>Gravity's Rainbow
>Great Gatsby

Did you like any of these in particular? Or, are there others you would strongly recommend?

For context, I've recently enjoyed:
>East of Eden
>The Tartar Steppe
>Blood Meridian
>The Fortress
>Journey to the End of Night

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
>23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

My point remains the same in regard for eternity: a finite mortal lifetime of sin and failure simply cannot justify any infinite inescapable anguish. Obviously if God says otherwise then He is right, but I find it so comically unbelievable that any being of benevolence and forgiveness would even create beings that are unforgiveable solely so that they may experience everlasting misery away from Him.

People have been misunderstanding Plato's Cave for years. He was talking about post nut clarity. There was a cave outside of Athens where Plato used to go and jerk off in the dark for 6, sometimes 16 hours a day. He almost lost his position at the Academy several times because he'd be gone for weeks at a time slapping his dick around in the dark. I'm dead serious, little motherfucker just couldn't stop whackin it. Socrates tried to get him to stop and eventually killed himself by drinking hemlock because he was so sick of Platos shit (Plato later fabricated a story about execution for corrupting the youth to cover this up). Every few days he'd return to Athens shouting some shit about how he'd "escaped the cave" and could "see all truth" lolol and everyone would just stare at him like this fuckin freak man. Get him the fuck out of town. All it was was once he'd cum he'd realize he spent hours in a cave and thought that the insight that he didn't have to jerk off anymore was some profound truth when it was just him clearing his balls and thinking straight again. Aristotle eventually distanced himself entirely from this weird ass shit and came up with the idea of looking at shit in the world to figure out how it works aka "science," when people would ask about Plato he'd just say "look man he was great when he was young just let it go."
This is also a rare point of parallel between Plato & Diogenes too, except Diogenes used to jerk off in broad daylight in the city center while cracking up, high as fuck on mushroom laced wine. Plato would come talking about his cave and Diogenes would tell him to stop being a bitch and "whip out his cock like a man."
Strange place.

Jordan Peterson is widely considered to be one of the most influential writer of all time. An absolute triumph and a giant of western philosophy.

His book the 12 rules for life is often considered as his magnum opus and labeled by the national literary society as a “Great American Novel”.

New York Times called it “in defeated masterpiece that few could ever surpass”

Times magazine “Peterson, the Confucius of the west, the 21st century Immanuel Kant, a National Treasure”.

We give our greatest gratitude to one of the greatest and most important writers of all the time: Jordan Peterson.

Jordan Peterson is evil and stupid. He has a daughter and says, “We are here to suffer so learn to suffer like a man.” A potential paradise could be like a never ending DMT trip with the constant pleasure level of heroin. If you get bored then it’s not paradise. There don’t even have to be human bodies. His is just a severe lack of imagination. And there is no sense in which suffering or mediocrity create meaning. All the meaning you need would be packaged into the paradise experience. But I am not experiencing such meaning and perhaps never will. That’s why despite the abundant grace and mercy I think I am not subject to a fully benevolent God. Perhaps God is like Jordan Peterson and I therefore consider him my enemy.

>some of the strides the medical industry is making (think dickgirls) should be met with cautious optimism. Instead his types just show resentment.
I haven't critically engaged with the literature, as, to be frank, I haven't the stomach, but I trust Peterson. I think one ought to be sceptical when children, very young children, are being drawn towards this. Like, do trans children really exist? These "doctors" are literally taking the word of children as valid, like, they are children, man! A child, generally speaking, doesn't have the ability to think about how they will feel in 10 years, for example! It's absurd, nor is their understanding of themselves that profound as to make such a choice, really. I suspect foul play on the parents side and just general child behaviour being mistaken for what it isn't by jaded medical professionals.

This shouldn't be a reactionary or conservative position, as we haven't even determined its validity to begin with. I think it's likely that legal action will occur on a mass scale within the next few years, something like that.

>> No.23322677

>>23322236
It was always normal for kids to experiment with ideas around sex. As with anything else they're going to have malformed beliefs until they can catch up with functional society. "Trans kids" is just a way to hijack the process. It turns into a bunch of stuff that can be convincing when relevant beliefs haven't fully formed, and that includes a lot of adults.

The problem with this is at best it leads to you concluding that smoking pot and being vaguely 'nice' is what the infinite wants from you and at worst leads to polyamory and heroin and who knows what else.

Read Schiller if you want to understand the intellectual current of romanticism that Beethoven was coming out of. But all romantics believed in the correlation of truth and beauty.

I also believe in it.

anyone know what this chart is supposed to be doing? I don't really get the system

>> No.23321373

>>23321298
It says it's a "to read" chart at the top so the anon who made it hasn't read any of those books, presumably. I'm guessing it's numbered as a "roll" game (ie. you would have to read Less than Zero by BEE), although the books on the sides are confusing, perhaps if you roll either a 1 or 0 you're supposed to read the two books (ie. if you roll 20 you have to read Fanged Noumena and David Copperfield, an odd combination).

>> No.23321683

I was in the Discord where this was made. It's supposed to represent books that are related one way or another to each other.

Explain to me what David Copperfield has to do with Fanged Noumena

My own probably stopped banging her husband on a regular basis three or so years ago, but that's ok. I've had two, arguably three, 'soul mates' since then.

Don't have one. Not a person who has ever existed, or ever will. Let me clarify exactly what I mean. There has never existed a person, even in principle, who if I ever met them and got to know them would really "get" me, such that we would enjoy each other's company and form a loving, stable relationship. There does not exist another person with whom I am highly compatible on multiple levels.

Some people are wired or, if you like, "meant" to be alone. I am one of those. Therefore, I don't have to wonder or worry about such a person rutting with some tattooed scumbag, or some black man.
