単行本作業も、もう同時に進めておりますので、気長にお待ちいただければと。
６話完成したら報告しようかと思ってたのですが、
気になってる方が多いみたいなので、ちょっと半端なタイミングかなと思いつつご報告。


何年か前に引っ越ししてから生活リズムとか色々変わって、
それを立て直せず、その上あれこれあって予定がメチャクチャになってしまい
落書きする時間も気力も無くなって、サイトの更新も出来ず情けない限りです。

まだ表に出せないけれど裏で色々進めてはいます。
細々とではありますが、今後もコツコツ進めて行こうと思います。

if a card wont stick, it wont stick
no need to dwell on it, you can un-suspend it later if it bothers you
eventually you will probably learn some other word that uses the same kanji that you can use as a sort of mnemonic to remember the leech
and some times a word just wont stick no matter. for those you need to actively study them somehow instead of just passively repping them in anki. figure out why they wont stick, like maybe you are mixing it up with another word. in that case, write down both words and look very closely at the differences until you figure out a way to disambiguate them. or maybe learn to handwrite them idk
but you are going to need to learn tens of thousands of words and your brain cant get them all right on the first try so to speak, some will require extra effort

You don't want too many new cards. That is a very good amount, you should only do around 10-15 new cards a day. You learn by repitition, your focus should not be learning only new words, it should be retaining words you already know. You have to be willing to accept diminishing returns as well, the further you study, the more effort it will take to study fewer things. Appreicate the small goals, appreciate even learning a single new word, because eventually, if your plan is fluency, you will be learning one new word a day, or maybe every week, or month, etc. Definitely write them down, and try to use the words in sentences, not only to help commit to memory, but also to give your brain a little reward like "Hey! Neat! I understand this word enough to use it in a sentence!" and stuff like that. Don't get discouraged by learning very little new vocabulary or grammar points, because the more you learn, not onlh the less you will have left to learn, but the difficulty and amount of effort needed will increase exponentially. Plenty of words I know, but don't REALLY know or how to use exactly like 預ける/預かる

Do not spend ALL your time on Anki. I only ever did this many carda when I was first starting Anki and had like 3 hours between classes. Do around 100, 125 if you feel confident and feel like you can focus and retain that much information, or 75 if you aren't as confident and don't want information overload. I as well suggest subtracting the amount of new cards (if you have any) from the total amount. So let's say you have 100 cards a day, but also 25 new cards a day, set your cards to 75 so it totals out to 100.

no it's as the instructions say you have 2 minutes for 60 puzzles and incorrect answers incur a penalty which it seems is reflected in the raw score with a -1 so a raw score of 60 means i made no errors
i just did it again but i waited for the timer to run out before solving the last puzzle and the numbers were identical so the score is evidently solely determined from the raw score which doesn't take into account how early you finish presumably because the test was designed so that few people finish early

Found this in google if anyone is interested:

--secondary-sid=<ID|auto|no>

Select a secondary subtitle stream. This is similar to --sid. If a secondary subtitle is selected, it will be rendered as toptitle (i.e. on the top of the screen) alongside the normal subtitle by default, and provides a way to render two subtitles at once.

There are some caveats associated with this feature. For example, bitmap subtitles will always be rendered in their usual position, so selecting a bitmap subtitle as secondary subtitle will result in overlapping subtitles. Secondary subtitles are never shown on the terminal if video is disabled.


By default, there aren't any keyboard shortcuts for cycling the secondary subtitles (in the way that you can cycle the "main" subtitles with j and J (Shift+j)). However, you can very easily add some.

For example, if you add the following to your ~/.config/mpv/input.conf (or more generally, your ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/mpv/input.conf):

Ctrl+j cycle secondary-sid
Ctrl+J cycle secondary-sid down

then Ctrl+j will cycle your secondary subtitles in the same direction that j cycles the main ones (increasing subtitle stream index), and Ctrl+Shift+j will cycle them in the opposite direction J (decreasing subtitle stream index).


Now I know how to enable it with keyboard shortcuts. Nice.
