Here in the UK the law is a little more clear. It says something like, "It is an offence to cause an image described above to appear on a display device."
However, the law is also stupid in that saving child pornography counts as producing child pornography, since you have made a copy. At least one person has been taken to court for unintentionally caching it. Fortunately it worked out okay because he didn't do it on purpose.
