there's no point in life
people can say the point of life is to just be happy or something but there's really no point to that either and who cares striving for happiness feels so boring
i think people have kids mostly so they have some obligation to keep on living
there's no reason why you shouldn't kill yourself because you aren't meant to or to not be alive
people only want you alive so you can work for them or so they don't have to deal with the pain of losing you they don't really care about you
most people dedicate their lives to some cause but who gives a fuck about any cause

So, my cellphone is now almost 8 years old and I need to change it: it's an old Sharp whose battery doesn't even charge anymore.

I decided to go for the most basic model I can find, since I've come to hate all the features of modern smartphones and while I know i'd have fun tinkering with Android, roms and all that shit, I fell like it's absolutely unnecessary. My new cellphone will only be able to call people, have an address book for storing numbers of the (few) people I know, a calendar and nothing else.

How do you feel regarding this shit? Do you love current smartphones or do you think they're far too distracting for people to use?

here's the issue:

so basically, I've been spending a lot of time with normals lately, and I thought this was a good thing. but as it turns out, it actually makes me miserable, mostly because i'm a social failure with a shit personality and average looks.

here's what'll happen when I'm out with normals. let's say we're drinking.

I'll talk a little in the beginning, but i can't maintain conversations while being in a group of people, so everyone will just naturally look for other people to talk to. now here's the worst part. after a while, I will shut down completely. when this happens, I just stop talking.

it's just the worst feeling ever. you see all your friends or whatever you wanna call them, you see them have fun and enjoy themselves. and then you're sitting there all miserable hating yourself so much for being what you are.

it gets even worse when a solid 9/10 (10/10 in my eyes but whatever) is part of your social group, because you spend so much time with her, but you know you can never have her. and yeah i know that there will be other girls and bla bla bla but this isn't really about the girl. if I had a good personality and was able to not be a social retard, I could probably have her. so that's the problem. being a social fuckup will fuck you over so hard in life it's not even funny

Today was terrible. The loneliness overwhelmed me and I could do nothing but lie in my bed and cry, waiting to fall asleep to escape these painful thoughts. I woke up 2h later. It became a bit better afterwards.

I just came back from a 45min jog. I've always been sceptical when people claimed that sport helps with depression. It sounded like typical /adv/ crap, but I really feel better after doing it.

I'm still aware of the hopelessness of the situation but it doesn't bother me that much. The next 3~4h are the happiest of my day. Until tomorrow.

it seems to me that girls get all the good things in a relationship without any of the downsides: we frequently pay for their meals or tickets etc. on dates, give them flowers/random gifts, provide support/protection, and give them sex whenever they want.

and if we don't do any of those things we're seen as a bad bf and "get in trouble" with her, which isn't fun either.
