I would really like to see Yuuka but its doubtful, while they can shoehorn some of the more popular characters into the game even if they have no real connection to the story, I don't think Yuuka is popular enough for that to happen

I would prefer to have a cast made mostly of reappearances. One or two new adversaries, but otherwise reuse some of the 200 frilly lolis you already have instead of replacing the entire cast except Raymoo and Marisa every game.

Yuyuko being the stage 1 boss was the highlight of Ten Desires for me.

I really hope it has Kanako. Secondary concerns for me are Ran and Eirin, both of which are lost causes most likely. I don't see how those last two will fit in with the plot sadly.

I mostly hope the stage size isn't ridiculously huge like SWR. If flight returns I hope it isn't as silly as swr's as well. No giant tech rolls. No awful declare system like iamp. More melee attacks than swr, or at least not clump them all in one autocombo.

As long as it has a fun bullet & grazing system like the other fighters I'll be ok with it. I really just want to know what the mechanics shown in the screenshots are.

Character predictions have been done to death but: Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, Youmu, Suika, Byakuren, Miko(unless someone else represents Taoism). Those seem like the obvious to me. Alice & Aya are quite likely too with a possible Sakuya due to popularity. Maybe 1 new character or some other commonly reoccurring one.

I hope Tenshi comes back but if she does its only because shes in the other tasofro fighters. Would love to see Kanako or Keine as well, and they seem like more realistic picks. Though if theres only 1 representative of each faction then Kanako will be taking a backseat for Sanae.

It's less features but more refined gameplay that I'm looking for. UNL suffered from horribly floaty gameplay that made the game feel sluggish and overly defensive. HM would benefit from either doing away with flight (ala IaMP) or devising some serious goddamn ways of restricting it

ZUN tries to distance himself away from his PC-98 tinkering as much as possible, save for a few characters that he reused a couple times years ago. TH13.5 is undeniably going to be religion wars, so I doubt he'd shoehorn in anyone that isn't related to SoPM or the standard reoccurring cast.

ZUN already said that while PC-98 isn't canon anymore, the PC-98 characters still exist in the Gensokyo of the Windows series. However, he doesn't want to reintroduce any more characters because he doesn't know how to explain why we haven't seen them earlier.

Quite personally, I would LOVE to see Nue make an apperance, Since Miko gets Futo.

I would also like to see Keine and Hakutaku form make a showing, But basing off her ability I'd feel like basing combat around her would be difficult.

I want new characters, and others that are not in previous fighters, but sadly i expect just classics. Even if they are unrelated, i'm pretty sure we'll have SDM, Ghost team, Eientei (Not Kaguya/Mokou probably, Keine would be great), maybe Sanae, and just a bit of recent games characters. Byakuren and Kanako seem a lot more charismatic than Miko. They look more like warlords (with Kanako having actually been one at some point apparently) while Miko is just a politician. Her place is behind a desk, not on the battlefield. I might be reading too much into the "war" thing though. It'll probably be some casual light hearted duels like the fairy wars. Seriously, when I first heard of great fairy wars I pictured some wild shit with fairies flying around everywhere, exploding and catching fire. Lots of screaming, lots of crying, lots of death.

Anyways, I'm just biased. I think Miko looks goofy as fuck and I personally wouldn't follow someone with owl hair and weird headphones into battle.

I'm glad that they are using new sprites, because that way all the old characters who have nothing to do with the religious conflict won't be in it. Otherwise the whole SDM crew would be forced into the plot, even though they shouldn't care less about religion in the human village, just because they had the sprites.

At least i hope that they won't just make new sprites for all the old characters...
