I don't even know, man. This series. I hope there's at least a bittersweet ending. Like a, "nearly everyone is dead, but Koakuma was put down and those left alive have regained their sanity" sort of ending. A happy ending wouldn't make any sense, and a Koakuma winning ending would be kinda boring, honestly.

To be honest, she's a wild-card. I see a lot of possibilities there, and I have no idea what the author's going to do. Logically speaking, she's one of the more likely to be left sane, given that she resides beyond Gensokyo even though she presides over its dead, and given that she was essentially ordained by the universe to be an ultimate moral authority.

I know! It's a very odd feeling, isn't it? When I first watched this series, I dreaded every episode because I thought I'd see Udonge getting tortured to death or something equally terrible. I really liked it, I thought it was clever.

Yukari is an extremely powerful youkai, one that would be hard to bring down. But Reisen used the weaker, human side of Yukari (her loved ones) in order to bring down her defenses so she could finish her off. Even with all her power, Yukari was too bewildered to think fast enough to save them. Theoretically she could, but her morale was already broken. Then Reisen used Lunarian Technology (which ZUN himself said was more powerful than magic and has technically proven to have already beaten Yukari once) to finally end her.

But even then, Yukari is still alive.
