So /jp/, as of next week, I will officially be graduating from neet status. Landed a job 4 states over and just put down a deposit for an apartment. Just turned 25 and had still been living at home, but I guess we all gotta grow up sometime huh?

This is the furthest I've been away from home ever before and I don't know anyone in this new town. I can't leach off my parents anymore, but at least I'm making enough money to live on my own now. The combination of vast distance and being away from anyone I've ever known is making me feel nerve-wracking. This whole week from when I accepted the job offer to now has been like a dream. Then it really hit me when I started packing up all my manga and anime figures into a box. This feeling of nostalgia and homesickness is pouring through me like a wave.

I'm fucking terrified out of my mind right now /jp/. I'm feeling all kinds of feels I've never felt before. Is this what growing up feels like?

Also, listening to this song might be contributing to my feels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2IPU05tZ2k&feature=related

Id feel that way if I were still living in the same house with my family. But I'm in an apartment now (with my family) and all my stuff is packed away and I'll never see it again so it is pointless.

When I was a NEET, I spoke as a NEET, I understood as a NEET, I thought as a NEET: but when I became EET, I put away NEET things.

It's time to move on.

You can still like your NEET things. It's just a job, you need it for survival.

I'm glad you're moving up in life, op. but you didn't really need to make a thread about it.

Good luck with your new job!

Fuck you, I'm early generation Y; unemployment of over 25% for people around my age. Same thing as japan lost generation.

That being said, I'm not a neet, I go to welfare paid university 8 hours a week.
