If you consider yourself a fan of Touhou but don't play the games, then that's kind of like, say, if you claimed you were a fan of coffee, only you don't actually drink coffee... you just like standing around in Starbucks, talking about coffee with coffee lovers and hanging around on coffee forums. Total poser, in other words. It's ok to superficially like Touhou, in a similar manner how one likes anything else superficially... However, don't seriously call yourself a fan unless you actually play the games. Touhou IS the games.
