I'll admit I rarely visit any, but I've found this is the case. In fact, one forum I used to visit was jokingly calling itself /forumname/ because of how much 4chan memes had overtaken it.

I'm glad a lot of forums are remaining the same technically, though. But this site, Fuwanovel, and a few other forums linked on /jp/ make me realize how slowly but surely forums are moving to WEB 2.0 FACEBOOK-INTEGRATED CLOUD SHARING SYNERGY WEB APPS. And that's just terrible.
