"When I was 13 I started to have really low self-esteem, so I decided to start downloading anime, buying manga and lastly buying figures and gunpla models. A year later I got into Touhou and Vocaloid, started reading doujinshi, watching tokusatsu shows, buying figma as I still yearned for a dakimakura of my own. The story goes on..."

Now, wasn't that better OP?

So, the worse you feel about yourself, the more weeaboo you get? That's just sad. It's almost as if you're trying to escape from yourself by pretending you are Japanese.

Yes, it was actually. Will stop writing like in the OP.

It does, but there is a trend of denying it (forced truNEET elitism).
Anyway bad thread.

do people really develop depression that late?

>> No.9524747

that's not how depression works. if it comes by itself then it will start at around age 8 at the soonest and probably 11 at the latest. where's that picture about how happiness is fixed?

Fun fact: Nobody reads paragraphs on 4chan. A thread would be dead in the water if you had started with that.

Your parents must have been pretty goddamn wealthy. I know you weren't paying for that yourself.

I sometimes feel a bit jealous of people who started out browsing the internet, getting into technology, and watching anime at around 12-13. At 13 I didn't know shit about computers, or the internet, and I wouldn't have even considered watching anime. I was too busy being outside.

Anyways, I didn't buy so often. Outside japan manga is really expensive. My parents didn't usually give me money, and usually spent the money from my birthday (that wasn't more than 30-50 euros) and outside that I only could buy like 2 tenkabons a month (or sometimes less) and I only bought like 2 figures every 7 months. And they didn't know, since I am ashamed of my hobby.

abject poverty kept me from doing all that fancy computer stuff until I hit the age of majority and bought myself one with welfare.

I miss welfare, autism bucks has so many more rules.
