I've been on CC for a couple weeks actually.

I like it, with minor modifications. It's good for people who never exercised.

No one on /jp/ would be able to do the workout OP posted, though.

tfw I can do 10 good pullups but not 20 good pushups, and I also can't jog for more than about 4 mins... & I can only do the pullups cuz I weigh like 110lbs...

I was actually clicking on /r/random/ when I was bored and ended up on r/bodyweightfitness/

I wasn't actively looking for an exercise program, but I was meaning to start exercising and it caught my eye.

I can do 20 pushups, but I can barely do 1 pullup.

>> No.9522079

10 pullups... pffttt hahahaha, I can't even do one. Not joking. I'm not fat either, I'm 56 kg and 1.80m tall.

Note: laughter is a defense mechanism that helps me cope with my failures.

>> No.9522099

honestly getting to 10 pullups isn't that hard, it takes like a couple of weeks if you aren't fat as hell, and you only need to dedicate like 5 mins a couple of times a week. I'd probably have a six-pack if every exercise was as easy, but fuck running and having a proper schedule when after all I'm a neet who doesn't need to be healthy.

That's why I like CC - it starts with ridiculously easy exercise everyone can do that progress into harder and harder ones. Full pull up/push ups are like step 5 or something of their respective exercise progressions.

If you want to get a bit more fit, it's a nice place to start. Just don't get put off by they guy's arrogant attitude, gotta have some marketing.

>> No.9522130

I assume /fit/ is way to intimidating to people as crippled as an average /jp/er, I was going through some fitness communities looking for some stretching exercises recently and lots of stuff required the kind of basic ability I'm hoping to achieve AFTER I've exercised for a year or two.

Just run if you want cardio.

And if you're more for stamina over strength you can just set up the exercises for that, I'm pretty sure the book mentions this explicitly. I mean, bodyweight stuff is normally used as an aerobic exercise these days, so it's not hard.

i'm just saying if it's part of some 'exercise plan' there should probably cardio on the schedule & not just random exercises, especially if you want to progress out of >DO YOU EVEN LIFT status

>> No.9522216

>>9522196
It's really rather different than weightlifting, so I dunno about that.

It's not like you're doing just 8 reps of everything or some dumb shit like that, progressions requires getting your reps higher anyway.

And I do recall him talking about indian squats as an alternative to running for cardio, so it's not like he skips it completely if you're not satisfied with just that.
