Just finished Emi's, Shizune's and Lilly's routes in Katawa Shoujo. I've loved the game so far.

/b/ should I finish Hanako's and Rin's routes?
What does /b/ think of the game?

Oh dear.

It seems that I forgot to change /b/ to /jp/

This is very awkward.

Emi's route is only route worth doing

BTW /jp/ hates Katawa Shoujo.

>> No.9460945

I never understood that.
The elitism associated with enjoying Japanese culture always confused me. Katawa Shoujo is a step for those with limited understanding of Japanese culture to enter a world unknown,

But that could just be me.

>Katawa Shoujo is a step for those with limited understanding of Japanese culture to enter a world unknown,

You might feel like that, but it isn't true. KS has as much to do with a Japanese VN as your typical American high school drama. That's actually a fitting comparison, because it is indeed your average American high school drama. Add the fanfic-like writing and you catch why it isn't really /jp/'s favorite game.

>>9460970
I do understand that it is as far from traditional Otaku culture as you can get, but it is still a stepping stone.

>> No.9460982

>>9460979
A stepping stone for /a/ maybe. /jp/ is a lot further down the road.

I concede your point. That doesn't mean the game can't be enjoyed nonetheless.

>> No.9460995

>>9460991
It can be enjoyed sure, but not by anyone who posts here regularly.

>> No.9461002

>>9460995
I do not understand that train of thought. If you enjoy Otaku culture, you cannot enjoy anything but?

>> No.9461010

>>9461002
We enjoy Otaku culture, not a OELVN written by underaged girls with terrible and inconsistent art. Katawa Shoujo is no more Otaku Culture than the Legend of Korra.

>> No.9461017

>>9461010
Another good comparison.

I concede.

I'd ask how the hell you finished it. I got to the first sex scene with the legless chick and never played it again.
