Anyway, what are your thoughts on Gingham Check? http://dai.ly/Ms21PY

I think it's nice if a little bit generic but I like most of what I've heard of the coupling tracks so far. It'll probably grow on me in time.

Also, how about that Majisuka 3? Personally, I like Paruru as an idol but feel that her acting leaves a lot to be desired. It might well improve as the series progresses though.

I like it. Like you said, it's pretty standard fare, but I don't think that takes away from it. I liked "Manatsu Sounds Good" a bit better, though. I feel like it was a more dynamic pop song with lots of tempo shifts and key changes which I think "Gingham Check" could have benefited from, but I'm splitting hairs. I still really like it.

I'm pretty sure this general is 13th if you count last one that didn't even reach 20 responses.
Anyway I'm right after watching 2 most expected by me shows this week - Yuihan's Kyouto Bi no Neiro and NMB's Fishing program. Both were great and I'm starting to believe that 2012 might be even as good as 2010 entertainment-wise.
But... Majisuka. Oh that majisuka. Paruru is such a bad actress that if not for Kizaki Yuria I would have dropped it after 1st episode. I don't get how Yasusu thinks. I mean, understandable is that he pushes her wherever he can, because thats how he works, but putting worst actress into 2 consecutive dramas isn't the best move. At least it balances a little bit with Yurias good acting.

Note that we've had both threads as "AKB General"s (10) and as "AKB48 General"s (4 counting this one). For simplicity's sake I suppose we could stick to the more common "AKB General" in the future to make these easier to find?

Yeah, what's up with Aki-P this year? All AKB singles have been really bland while branch offices, soloists and Nogizaka get decent songs.

Also, I have to note that THIS is the best single so far this year.

SKE's and NMB's have been great, AKB's have been pretty decent. Nogizaka on the other hand has been terrible, their songs are nothing compared to any of the other group's releases, or just about any current idol group for that matter. Never mind that they try and make their choreography as stupid as possible with each single.
