Mitt Romney helps create a plan for universal health care
It sits in a vault with all the other good GOP ideas (Thus making it the loneliest plan in the world)
Obama hears about this plan, copies it and makes it a bit more palatable for Dems
At the start while there is token resistance most see it as a decent start that could lead to something big
Healthcare Industry sees it
A quick glance reveals they can no longer make obscene amounts of money off of denying you health care you paid insurance for or for forcing you to get completely unnecessary and useless tests especially when there are safer alternatives; they are now forced to just make large amounts of money from similar practices
Health Care industry naturally FLIPS IT'S SHIT
Begins lobbying hard within Congress
Makes it seem like Democrats are crazy and trying to destroy the Republicans with this Bipartisanship BullCrap
Party Lines are drawn
Bill passes not because it's a good idea (which it is) but because we have to circle the wagons to protect our side even if it's wrong
Instead of educating people on the bill and pushing Congress to actually work together to make something everyone agrees on the media (ESPECIALLY FOX) try to create mass hysteria because people will now no longer have to get sick and still work
