Yes. It was created by Daisensei's friend so she put in his daughter, Maelstrom. Ayumu managed to grab Daisensei's attention so she started playing around with him instead of that device.

Then she decided it wasn't fun enough so she pit it against the Queen in volume 8, which almost kills Ayumu and Yukinori. First she got the Queen interested in Ayumu, made the Queen go Ayumu's world for a meatup and finally got them to fight.

After deciding that it was a failure she went back to cultivating Haruna as her ultimate weapon.
