This looks like it was written by someone that has never experienced friendship before, but it does bring up a good question.
Humans are probably addicted to socializing, and in turn they forget the benefits of solitude. This would be good and all if this didn't bother introverts, but it does.
The fact that people like to dichotomize everything and put the two sides to fight, like how a small child would talk about his father beating other peoples' parents, means that there's always going to be a sizable (or very vocal) bunch of people that can only see benefits in socializing, studying, getting a job, getting married, while constantly bashing the other side, the introverts.
Now this wouldn't be different from, say, console wars, if the other side didn't had a tendency to not voice their opinion; introverts, and everyone that prefers a solitary way of being, can't defend their position in life because of their very nature. This way, they become slaves of the mass that constantly pushes them to go out and socialize.
Is it worth it, in the end? Do a few of us have to constantly be critiziced and criticize ourselves, spend our tears mourning over some set of skills that, by some strange chance, we didn't develop.
In the end, it can only depend on oneself, and on how one sees life.
