Home is missing some server services like IIS, telnet server and etc. The only feature a regular (and by regular I'm already thinking of a power user) will miss that isn't on Home is Remote Desktop. You also can't install Windows Services for Unix on Home.

I miss old lan parties with a bunch of windows 98 systems. After the initial 30 minutes of everyone connecting everything up it ended up taking an hour or two to get everyone on the network. Now it is literally all done for you, where's the fucking fun in that!?

They did quite a few patches to XP 64 bit, now everything runs just fine. I think some of my problems came from having the dual core processor before a lot of games patched to remove bugs from dealing with dual processors though.
