Alright, anon, listen to this. If you throw an object with a speed of X towards an object, also thrown towards the first object, with a speed of Y, both objects will meet at the same time as in a situation that the first object was thrown with a constant speed of X+Y but the second object was still. If both objects are flying against each other, you can simply add their speed togheter and see it as a single object going towards a goal, which in this case is the distance between both. Then you just divide the speed by the distance and calculate the time it would take.

>> No.9167699

they will meet @ 14h 10min 46s 38ms

This is a very simple problem. I'm going to solve it using the relative method because it's intuitive.

Mokou is traveling at 34 k/h to Eientei from the edge of the bamboo forest.
Eirin is traveling 108 k/h from Eientei to the edge of the bamboo forest opposite direction to Mokou.

When you're traveling, it seems you're stationary while everything else is moving around you. This means to Mokou, all of the trees and such are traveling 34 k/h toward her while she holds still. But Eirin, who's going directly toward her, seems to be going faster. We calculate how much by adding up their speeds.
This makes a total of 142 k/h. So to Mokou, Eirin appears to be traveling toward her at 142 k/h, and vice versa.
Now we just solve it normally and calculate how long it takes for Eirin to approach Mokou. Distance / rate = time. Therefore, 300 / (142k/h) = 2.112676 hours.
This means it takes about 2 hours and 6 minutes until they meet.

Wait, what?
It doesn't specify the original location of "2nd favorite touhou" other than being 300 km away from "favorite touhou". This gives "2nd favorite touhou" the possibility of being anywhere in a circle 300 km from "favorite touhou". Because of this, the "2nd favorite touhou" might be BEHIND "favorite touhou", and as such their distances would increase with time as they are moving in opposite direction.

TL;DR: not enough info to solve the problem.

It is probably implied that both Touhous were going to meet because they are the favorites of the person trying to solve the problem and this person would probably love to see both of his favorite touhous paired togheter as a couple, thus needing to meet.
