Not making your own curry roux is retarded.

Sure, it takes a little bit of practice, but it's not like it's labor-intensive or hard.

I don't get why Japanese use the premade one. I tried it once(the exact brand in your picture) and it's not bad, but it just feels pointless.

That said, I fucking love Japanese-style curry. I could live off it and nothing else and I'd be happy.

You need koshihikari rice, and you need to cook it properly.

Are you placing the rice on a plate before folding it?

It helps cool and congeal it while you fold.

Also, you do this cupping like action when you pack it.
