Am I the only person who plays touhou for the dialog?

I prefer print works over games because they flesh out the character and give lots of things the games don't give.

I have never beaten a game by myself (My little brother who's favorite character is Youmu helps me) so I have never seen an ending screen am I missing out on much?

In fact, you're the only person who plays touhou here.

I didn't even know Touhou had a real story. I mean, of all the games you could play for dialog, why TOUHOU?

I play it because it's a simple way to waste time when I'm bored. I can't beat any of the shmup games, either. Farthest I can get is Yuyuko in PCB.

You play Touhou with other people in real life? How did that happen? I've never talked about it with anyone. I don't even know how to pronounce Touhou.

Touhou feels unique to me not just because of the game but the universe itself is complex and interesting.

I like hearing about past character that never appeared personally and remembering random characters that most people won't remember and collecting facts on them.

I guess I'm just autistic.

You're not autistic. You're awesome.

I wouldn't say it's the main reason, but it's definitely a part of the appeal.

Particularly in IN, the teams all complement each other nicely.

Ending screens are nice. 7 and 8 give you good ends on easy if that's a more realistic goal to pursue.

I just asked my brother if he wanted to play a cute game and he said yes other than that when I was in high school in art class I was drawing Marisa and Patchouli and two sisters saw it and told me they loved the remixes and some black girl recognized Marisa.

Are you female? I can't imagine a boy asking someone to play a cute game.

I wish I could admit the same to people in real life. You are braver than I.

Its not that I'm brave I am just hyper feminine unconsciously and I can't really hide it.

I was told in high school that people thought I was going to be a drag queen.

I enjoy both the games and print works. I dedicate myself a lot in getting better at Touhou, playing everyday at least 1 hour, but last week I've read almost every single print work because I wanted to know more about the universe of Gensokyo. I think I'll read WaHH today, actually.

...Are you me?

I've been thinking a lot lately how the Touhou seems like a really interesting setting, beyond just Gensokyo.

It's the same for me. I don't really care for the actual games too much, but I love the settings and characters; I particularly have a soft spot for "Eastern mysticism".

I still play the games, but they get boring after a while. I'm simply not motivated enough to improve my scores or technique. This is the same problem I have with fighting games.

Same here. The games actually bore me; I played them and even 1CC'ed two of them only to know more about the ZUN's story behind the whole series.

I enjoy the story and character interaction, hence why I started a Touhou trpg campaign in my gaming group.

Touhou is like a religion. The more you read the texts and meditate on it, the more it grows on you.

We're playing Danmaku Flowers so it's all in Gensokyo with Touhou characters.

No need to get all pissy, most weeaboos are scum of the earth and I'm willing to bet I'm one of 3 touhou fans in my entire state.
