Which Touhou game should I play if I can't beat EoSD on normal and want to try another one because I'm frustrated.

6 is pretty much the easiest to 1cc on Normal.

deberias probar con el 7 y si no puedes con ese, necesitas practicar un poco mas compadre

>> No.9068725

But its easy. It appears harder, because no hitbox dot and hardly distinguishable patterns. EoSD is not harder than 8 or 13, try harder, don't be such a casual.

>>9068648
Just give up. EoSD is the easiest to 1cc on normal. If you can't 1cc it you are fucking terrible.

>> No.9068752

EoSD would be just as easy as TD if it weren't for that goddamn maid.

>> No.9068761

Try PCB or IN.

PCB is probably the best starter but IN is a bit easier.

>> No.9068781

>>9068648
Here is what I did when I couldn't 1cc EoSD:

Go play PCB. DON'T play IN at this point -- it will breed bad habits because death bombing is so lax. But go play PCB and play it on HARD. You won't be able to beat it but it will make you better. After playing that for a while go back and play EoSD and you should be able to 1cc it with no problems. It's the easiest one by far.

>> No.9068792

>>9068781
Also if you do what I said, when you go back to EoSD you will probably understand why people say it is so easy. You will have gotten used to such a harder difficulty that EoSD normal will seem like nothing to you.

>>9068781
>play it on HARD

Worse advice *ever* for a beginner. PCB Normal is ideal

>> No.9068895

>>9068887
Nope, PCB hard is good advice.
They should try to get as far as possible with all continues, and aim to beat the game without running out of continues.
If anything, even try lunatic.
When you eventually manage to beat the game with all continues, you should've learnt how to dodge some decent densities of bullets and hopefully how to make sure you spend all your bombs before death etc.
Then go back to Normal mode and laugh your ass off.

It's true though, IN does breed bad habits.

This. IN is the easiest game, but death bombing is a crutch. I never understand when people say they can't 1CC IN. Someone on Shrine Maiden or somewhere even wrote up a post about how they death bombed their entire way through the game.
PCB is the second easiest in my opinion, and it teaches you better habits. Plus it's a straight-up arcade shmup with all the Touhou elements and a visible hitbox. A lot of the other games have gimmicks, even if they're unimportant.

Ten Desires, easiest Normal. That's not an opinion, that's the fact.

>> No.9068980

>>9068942

Mountain of Faith's continue system (not relevant to 1CCs, but anyhow) is kind of awkward. Stage 4 still seems unreasonably hard relatively speaking to someone like myself who is fucking terrible at the games.

No it isn't, at all.
Very limited amount of lives, so mistakes are heavily punished.
It's not a Touhou game I'd recommend to beginners.
Easiest Lunatic though? Yes, for sure.

Death bombing is a crutch in general, and is something that doesn't apply to any other shmup. Everyone says that IN gives you bad habits, but only ever mention the death bombing window. What other habits are we talking about?

It has some solid patterns, and the spell practice is a really great asset for beginners.

Go play the game that has the most appealing music and patterns to you, OP. It's not going to make any difference in the long run.

I-is IN really the easiest game? I-i've been playing it on and off for months and just tried it again today and didn't get past Keine.

The last stage i've managed to unlock on practice modewith continues is Reisen's. And that was using 7 lives
