It's a man's pride. He has to shoulder all the difficulties in life by himself. He can not cry except when his loved ones pass away. That is what they mean by "manly". Not emotional brats wielding destructive weapons irresponsibly.

If you had a father you looked up to, you would understand that. Everyone wants a dependable dad. Shit would suck if the father were crying all day. The father has to be the pillar of the whole family, financially and emotionally. He has to assume this role because the woman might be vulnerable when she's pregnant, or has to look after the children. That family would feel secure and the children can grow up without fear.

If you don't have that pride, you're automatically a faggot.

Well of course there would always been a guy talented enough to take their position but that's not the point. The point is there are strong women that are physically/mentally tougher than many men who can be found outside of just physical farm work.
