A few months ago I got my hands on this beautiful game. I really liked it so I decided to look into it a bit and somehow ended up translating/editing the interface.
Since I've got plenty of time now I'm asking you guys if you're interested in translating the whole game. I'd do it myself but my current knowledge of the Japanese language is very limited so I'd do the editing.
It'd be pretty much one of the first translated loli eroge and if some anon is willing to help I'll make sure we won't stop at 7% like some other faggy groups do.

Depends on the engine. Some engines are already hacked, like nscripter (the one naisho no jikan uses) while others aren't (like marble engine, the one WtK uses). You need to disassemble it to figure stuff out.

Almost certainly, given an hour or three (or probably 15 minutes if you just want to get it out; it's getting it back in that's the trouble). But I'm not going to bother if someone else has already done it - figuring out file formats is pretty damn tedious.

Yep, that's why I'm not going to bother messing with them.
From my quick look, they seem to be stored in a custom but simple archive format. The actual script files seem to just be called "S" files internally; it looks like there are several lines for each textblock, the actual text and some binary junk which probably does the programming part, which makes it unsuited to direct text editing, but if there's an editing program out then hey, just use that.

for naisho no jikan, go split the script up(like 60 pieces of ~100 lines each) and make a wiki. asking for a tl for the whole thing probably won't get you anywhere, but if you have a bunch of small sections out there that anyone can pick up, you'll likely get a few people doing a piece or 2 here or there.

2800 lines is not too many lines, if you compare it to sensei da-isuki 2 which has around 30K lines of text, it's about 10x fold smaller than it.
