In my family all of the kids are taught to cook and help out, especially for holiday meals. Just so turns out that most of my family is female. Usually with making the dumplings, cutting and seasoning the deviled eggs, putting the marshmallows on the sweet potatoes, making the stuffing and putting in the turkey, or basting the turkey.
