So far the TV series adaptation is very faithful to the original work, but it's better to know more about other characters than Ayu and how you're going to end with them.

Voice file update; haeleth has provided a translation of the voice patch installer, apparently - http://www.haeleth.net/kanon_dl.shtml - but whenever I try to use it, it tries (and fails) to find the file kanon-y.txt, because no such file exists in the japanese patch files.

However, the patch does contain patch-n.txt and patch-y.txt - I'm thinking of renaming the latter appropriately and praying, stay tuned.

This one is the older Kanon release, the patch only works with the Standard Edition that uses the "new" Real Live engine.

Get it from the torrent I previously posted, don't worry about speed it's pretty well seeded... for now.

It can be a compatibility problem, I dunno. But the previous translation patch works perfectly.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that you'd probably have to start a new game. I think you'll find the same result if you tried to switch from the new patch to the old patch also, so it's not a specific issue as far as I can tell. Does the new version work properly, though? I'm expecting somebody to get to a point that was previously untranslated so they can report on whether that stuff works or not. I wouldn't suggest going back to the old patch unless you want to continue a save desperately.

In short, the new patch will work perfectly if you let it make its own save files. If I recall, you couldn't use previous saves from CLANNAD after the new SEEN is plugged in.
