Except for where he says Ryu07 lied, actually what happened is Ryu07 gave his own theory on the truth and was demonstrably wrong. While he was the author, the game was a kind of transcription of his own attempts to reach the truth of a mystery that his friend BT presented to him. Most people know that BT died around episode 5, and it's only after this that the Shkshit stuff starts. The last line in episode 8 "dedicated to my beloved witch beatrice" is referring to him. Basically, the meta world Beatrice was BT, and the meta world Battler was Ryu07.

The guy was basically claiming that Shkanon cannot be the correct answer due to conflicting with a number of red statements. He even go as far as saying Ryu07 deliberately fooled the reader into believing Shkanon theory. He argued that Shanon and Kanon are not the same person, Rosa is Beatrice, George and Rosa is the culprit and Nanjou is the only accomplice.

The whole thing is 9 hours but only 2 videos which cover about 4.5 hour have been uploaded. For anyone who doesn't want to sit through it, I read that he planned to release the script, but obviously not before he uploaded all of the video so that's going to take some time. Alternatively, you could watch for a few minutes to get the outline of his theory, if you have concerns, I and preferably others anon as well could summarize his position for you.

Episode 6 (and all its shkanon fantasy fluff nonsense) may have been written after his death, but there is one thing that wasn't: the red text. The red is the truth so it must be stuff that BT actually said to Ryukishi07. Ryukishi07 basically just took that red and what he knew so far and tried to reach an answer working around that. Chiru is mostly his 'theory' on what the truth is. As you can see by this video however, his theory was provably wrong, and his interviews are only him conveying his theory.

There is a mystery though, and there are still clues left in 1-4. In terms of the culprit and the howdone it you can pretty much get it from the first 5 eps anyway. That doesn't mean you can confirm it, but usually that doesn't happen with mysteries towards the end. It said at the very start Umineko wasn't like other mysteries, and it may not be possible to solve.

I think R07 is a good writer. Just because he went down a route that didn't make a lot of sense in the end doesn't mean he's a "bad" writer. He still wrote something a lot of people connected with on some level.

The only thing people tend to bring against his is that his argument based on the red definition of people would only apply to that situation (which I find strange.
