Everytime I see this image I am reminded of that song where Cirno falls in love and tries to write a love letter for some anonymous man.

What happens when gods die? I'm still not even clear on who goes to Yuyuko's netherworld versus Sikieiki's hell. Where do humans end up; where do youkai end up?

Normally, people die and are ferried over the Sanzu, to a Yama's court. There they get told told how long they're going to be in hell for their sins in life; the plan after that is a bit lost to me, but eventually that spirit re-enters the netherworld proper as a ghost.

Hakugyokurou is in the netherworld, on the border too, and ghosts may travel there and bask in the glory of the endless cherry tree blooms. When Yuyuko invokes death unto someone, they are immediately admitted to the halls of Hakugyokurou, rather than facing the Yama and Hell first. Yuyuko is very conservative about using her power to invoke death, and there is no word on how hell's bureaucracy regards the Princess of the Shrine of the Netherworld.

Somewhere along the way there's reincarnation and nirvana. Akyu infrequently gets reincarnated and the best bet is that her spirit spends her downtime with Yuyuko; it is unknown if Sikieiki judges her: each time, later, or never.

Nirvana is anyone's guess.

The one doujin showed Akyu getting ferried across the river by Komachi, where she's supposed to ask Yama for reincarnation; not sure if that's based on canon material.

And one where she opposed her reincarnation for a while, then resigned herself when she realized she couldn't escape being the Child of Miare, even in death. It's difficult to say if Akyu retains her memory because she reincarnates or if ghost-Akyu would retain the same, complete personality regardless of whether she reincarnated or not.

Sikieiki and Komachi scold/treat youkai the same as they do the human characters in Phantasmagoria. Even Cirno, whose death is only marginally meaningful, being a fairy, is treated the same (by Lady Eiki). The only fair assumption is one of equality: until otherwise noted, it's safe to assume even youkai become spirits who get judged.

The Myraid of Gods does not die. It/They will continue to exist until the end of time, if such a thing exists in the ZUNiverse. Reimu talks about the gods a bit in earlier chapters of Silent Sinner in Blue.

It's hard to forget them when people are always dying and end up seeing them

I guess it's a question of does "faith" from dead people count? I guess it does
