I would really like to visit New York someday. It seems like a place where the whole world meets.
Then I would like to visit countries with deep unexplored jungles or countries which are not as developed as others.Countries with many villages and farmers.

So many countries so few time.....
Don't get me wrong, Japan seems like a nice place too for many reasons but it's not on the top of my priority list

Wan piss, of course. While I was working there, P&S was very big. Vocaloid, TM and Touhou (secondaries) were the most numerous. We hired cosplay models for cheap; I delegated this to a business woman I was partnering with.

We didn't make a good margin off the merchandise, because we figured everyone would get small stuff off taobao. If we were to run it again, I'd try and get a better volume through the stall to justify the space. Some larger (legit) items were sold for a much better margin. I figured rich people wanting to look good would buy them up, and I was right in that assumption.

We did, however, make quite a good profit on a snack stand selling Japanese/Corean/Taiwanese snacks. It was well positioned and had a strong margin.

Police showed up when it got into full swing, but they were looking for a payoff/ wanted to creep on cosplayers.
My partner dealt with cops.

I didn't get on the floor, apart from at the end, but I was approached for autographs and photos. I turned these into a few sales. I also sold "lunches with foreign model (me)" at the very end, as there are many girls who can't get foreign boyfriends, and would like a Butler Café experience. I only did that because we were out of stock.

I have never been to a western con, but event management was great to have on the CV. The money we made wasn't enough to justify doing it again, when there were bigger players who had a larger margin. We didn't have a lot of capital to start off with, but we did well because we gave people what they wanted. We won a college entreprenurial competition that my partner was competing in.

As someone that live by the mantra of taking it easy, Japan is the total opposite of taking it easy.
You just have to take the train in the morning or around 7pm or 12pm to see how suffering it is to live in Japan.
