They're supposed to be explosives specialists. Dunno if the markings are true to the SW universe or just something Lego made up. For the most part though markings do relate to something real like the Wolfpack.

>> No.8769826

I also collect legos. I wish I collected more star wars before they became real-people colored. Those obi-wans would make good samurai type clothes, but now they all have disgusting non-yellow skin on them.

I mostly only collect castle types, wish Lego would release the Wolfpack again. They were the best besides the whatever the red themed dragon guys were. Then black falcons, and then the castle 2010 guys.

I sort of regret not collecting more ninjas now that I like them. I wish they still sold those packs for each theme that had like 5-7 guys in them of various types. Not those battle packs, but the old ones that had both sides in them.

Now I am not only happy but shocked at the luck of having a complete set with the original box and manual - for no other reasons than keeping my childish things at the age when others threw theirs away, and obsessively and irrationally saving boxes and manuals for everything.

I used to enjoy painting Warhammer Fantasy armies, then I became too NEET to be able to fund that.

My room has no surface that isn't covered in books now, so maybe they count? It's the one luxury I won't deny myself. I've only been able to sleep on half of my single bed for years due to having to move boxes onto it.

I also stalk nijiura meido artists, spending hours each day trying to hunt down any images I don't have that might be buried in forgotten blogs and the like, I'm not sure if that counts either.

I was sort of exaggerating about the excel catalog... I did try to keep one when I started collecting and used to write down everything (type of trash, origin, time it was bagged) but it was too much work so now I just use small stickers on the side of the bags.
As for the type of trash... it's mostly old stuff. Clothes, old toys, bottles, cups, tissues, newspapers. The thick stuff goes at the bottom, the softer stuff at the top. Not very difficult to organize.

Sorry. I meant LICENSED sets use the real skin tones. Derp. Lego still keeps its classic themes (Police, Fire, City) and now is making many 'themes' itself such as Ninjago, AQ and Dino (2). If you want some new uncommon colours and some hoes there's Lego Friends as well.

- Music, mostly instrumental and ambient.
- Figurines, though I don't have money for the mass collecting anymore. I sold some of my old ones. Now I usually get 2 or 3 a year, try to figure out what I REALLY want.
But lord some of the touhou stuff makes me want to sell body parts for dough.
- Pictures and I mean a MASSIVE amount of pictures. Going on 250 GB strong of JUST images.
- Doujin games, even if I never play them, even if they aren't translated.
- Minerals and unrefined gemstones, comes from a long love of geology. Fossils as well, but not as much.
- Flower patterned things. Jewelry, clothing, bed items, etc etc
- Beads. I have a shit ton of beads and while I have made about 30 bracelets, I could make many more but I just don't have the motivation.
- Cloth and threads for sewing. I keep buying them even though I don't have time/ enough practice to utalize them.
- PS2 and SNES videogames, two of my favorite systems.
- Crystal balls, spherical glass, any sphere made of glass.
- Colored Pencils and Acrylic and Water paint.

I'm really, really attracted to colorful stuff, like a nesting bird with ADD. I think it was to divert my mind from how horrible and dull the world is, and how I always hated my home life.

Would love to see a return to the one-off sets of ancient space, back when there were not only original factions, but sets that belonged to neither.
But think for now, we're going to have to live with the fact that licensed themes simply are more popular and thus more profitable than the original space themes with children, and so Lego has little reason to keep designing new ones for the adult hobby market.
And besides, there's a pretty damn huge hobby community that caters to exactly those old space themes, so it isn't as big a loss as it seems.

Mostly cameras and camera gear. Mechanical cameras and manual focus lenses interest the most. I wonder about what kind of person owned and used whatever gear I get. I used to have more than these two.

Surprisingly, the decades-old 28mm (the short one) on the left is sharper than the few-years-old 30mm that I used to take this picture. As with most manual focus lenses it's a joy to use as well, with the aperture ring and super smooth focusing ring.
