Go to the library with a backpack and your own books. Take one of the books and pretend to read it along with the books your brought with you. In the end, place one of your books in one of the shelves and put the library book in your pack. Go out of the library. Hopefully it's one of those libraries with an alarm, that you'll set off. Jump, surprised, and look at the librarian with a "but I didn't do nothing wrong!" look. Empty your backpack while telling her about why you were there and what you were doing. First notice that one of your books is missing. Then notice the library book. Then act surprised, yet again, and explode in a million apologies and how you must have placed your book in place of the library's. Be extremely polite the whole time.

If the librarian smiles the whole time and tells you not to worry about it, you're kawaii. Bonus points if she says "sweetheart".

At least that's how I found out I'm kawaii.

Oh, and laughter. Not just smiling, but laughter too.
