My uncle is writing a book on international folk dances. He seems to think just because I watch dem silly Chinese cartoons that I should be able to translate a few words for him. My Japanese has downgraded something serious from never practicing, so I'm asking wherever I can to help translate these phrases/words, including here.

To bow (not just bowing for formalities, but like ceremonial bowing, is there a difference?)

Paddle boat (Duh, a boat where you use a paddle)

Grow a tree ("Ki ga seichoushimasu" I'm thinking, but my japanese is horridly rusty.)

Hold sleeve ("suribu o hojimasu" google translate tells me immediately)

Look at mirror ("kagami o mimasu")

In the meanwhile, I dunno, random touhou crossovers thread?

If that was meant to be ironic well done. If you were serious you can leave with OP.
