Does /jp/ bother to learn how to write?

My professor told me that I have the ugliest writing ever and I should die.

>> No.8616488

Used to write kanji when I did anki reps but I stopped doing the reps so I stopped writing.

Pretty much can't speak / write for shit but I can read eroge

>> No.8616501

I have poor control over my hands, so I try not to write whenever possible.

I'm planning on taking the JLPT this year, so I'm studying by doing anki reps and rewriting the kanji in sentences/compounds over and over. How far did you get before you quit? I can read LNs and VNs and understand most of it without aid, but I haven't really gotten around to mastering jouyou kanji yet.

>> No.8616513

I haven't write for quite a while now. Though I think my writing looks nice.

Not that guy you're asking, but may I ask which JLPT level are you testing for?

I'm not sure yet, probably 1 or 2. I'm planning on mastering jouyou by this december (probably before). Grammar is not an issue. I'm a heritage speaker.

If you can actually understand dense prose, then I don't know how you can say you haven't mastered the kanji. Do you mean you don't have the ability to write them or something? Or do you want to just list off readings...?

>> No.8616554

I also write Japanese sometimes, but my Kana and Kanji look way uglier than yours OP.
I don't give a shit though. I just try to stroke them properly.

As long as I can read them, it's fine.

Your handwriting is a lot better than most I've seen, OP. Your prof must have a pretty high standard.

I'm told my handwriting is pretty cutesy/girly for how quickly I write.

挟まる means "to be squeezed", not "to squeeze". If you want to say "I want to be squeezed by dicks", then you need に.

What is a コレ?

Or do you just not know how to use kana?

Using コレ in katakana is quite common, though it's more often seen in quoted (spoken) speech.

When I was taking classes I did, and my handwriting was pretty good, but I haven't written anything in Japanese for a couple years so I bet it sucks now and I'd be surprised if I could remember how to write even basic kanji.

Because kana in quoted text indicates it is spoken differently.

Not in faggot shit sentences they don't. Don't quote literature either, authors choose to do things differently for stylistic reasons, something you have no justification for.

My writing doesn't have anything special about it, I guess, since I don't write very fast.
There's few radicals I can write fast, but I don't write enough to get past the stage of mechanically adding strokes.
I'm not ever going to need to write a whole lot anyway, so whatever.

Not the guy who called you a faggot but it's definitely not usual to just write it in katakana for no particular reason. Citing a few examples of it makes about as much sense as citing examples of people using "they're/there/their" improperly in English.

I have just started learning japanese recently but I am a little burnt out on learning 20 (473 total) new kanji a day so I am wondering if I should just hold off on learning new ones for a while and focus on sentence structure and grammar. I haven't even started trying to learn sentence structure and grammar.
