Quite the opposite, I think /jp/ has a massive fetish for the Scarlet sisters and Utsuho. In fact, it's such a big hard-on that sometimes I think it overshadows every single other Touhou out there.

Take a gander at some of the more obscure ones. I believe we had 5 or 10 reply threads about Lilly White or Medicine Melancholy. That when we DO have them, because it's such a rare thing to happen.

She is just hugely popular in overall maybe not as high as currently Alice or Reimu or Marisia etc. but she's always kinda had this special place in the fans hearts rather that be pure love or rage.

Design wise I think her "wings" are stupid but her dress is pretty appealing not fond of blondes either but she pulls if off decently without being to cliche with it in the western or eastern sense.

Canon wise she seems alight I guess, nothing too special.
