the more flowing nature of the simple sailor uniform is appealing, i don't know whether to call it graceful or cute. but a sailor uniform with some embellishments is the best. it preserves the graceful/cute site of the sailor uniform while having the fashionable look of the vest. picture related.

and, i'll take my nodoka with a sailor uniform any day.

people aren't going to go and look for a picture of a 2d sailor uniform to help contribute to your thread. whatever you post for the discussion is the example that most people are going to use.

3d simply doesn't look as perfect in anything but photoshopped glamour with designer clothes. and the OP example isn't a good design in the first place, the ribbon is fucking huge and looks like plastic from the thumbnail. the lighting is also not very good.
