EP8's forced ending is even more retarded if you consider that it's almost certainly battler who did it

That means that the author basically forced you to fall for Meta-Battler trying to cover up his own crimes and fucks you over if you don't believe him.

They should have had a dual main character thing going on with Battler as a magic MC and Will/Maybe Erika as mystery/illusion MCs and Ange can choose which one to believe

Battler doesn't seem upset by the incidents, states Beatrice isn't to blame but doesn't include himself(Beatrice is also not upset), Tohya remembering he is a murderer makes his reaction to remembering a bit more understandable, Battler has more of a motive to hate the family than his parents, his parents were already shown as killers in a game(Not much of a reason but going 'oh the ep7 tea party was exactly right would be terrible storytelling) and, while this isn't really a good reason, Ryu07 is making a pretty big deal out of B.Battler.

Confessions say its basically random. Beatrice picks a couple of people for a "murder mystery game", it goes south, and then all the "closed room" murders occur. The culprits can change each time, so there is no one true culprit, unless we are talking about Rokinjimma Prime, in which Beatrice is the culprit.
