Honestly I think that the Office represents, along with a shit ton of other American TV shows, why American TV shows are trash.

They all just keep running until they become so ridiculously stupid and don't even resemble anything they once were.

Look at the Office. If someone had asked you what the office was about (not the events of the show at the moments, but the premise of the show), one might say:

It's about a stereotypical office of a paper distributor with an overly incompetent boss and the struggles of one employee to court the receptionist. In the beginning, the characters were largely normal with the exception of Michael and Dwight.

Now Michael is gone, half of the cast has been given stupid gimmicks (kelly wasn't supposed to be that autistic, pam wasn't supposed to be that annoying, creed wasn't supposed to be so fucking out there and what the fuck did they do to Ryan). Now they're selling printers and the cast isn't about a stereotypical office, but a gimmick based cast of rejects. The show should have ended after Jim and Pam got together. Actually it should have just ended after the season 2 finale. It was all downhill after that.

A lot of anime/manga keep running until they're shit and cancelled as well, but at least we have a ton of anime and manga that had a fixed script in mind.

The biggest problem with American TV shows is that they're controlled by Jews. This isn't me talking out of my ass. These producers are Jewish and they are hungry for money. They WILL milk it for everything it's worth every time, even if it means ruining the show.
