Don't.
Your existence has influence on the world. Just because you see no point in your living doesn't mean you've done nothing. You've lived this long, you've done many things. Even if it's something as silly as influencing Cornelia's hair box, you've changed the part of the world you're in.
Even if you feel like ending it all, try your hardest to live. I won't say it will get better, because sometimes it doesn't. That's no reason to give it up.
Choose the option that seems impossible. Step away from the balcony, open the door, and walk back into your life. Even if it's just posting on /jp/, that's enough of an accomplishment to keep living and influencing the world.

It's not us you have to convince of that, it's the rest of the world.
The only reason that a person would feel that way in the first place is because someone told them as much, or suggested it.

I do my best to change them as well, but you can't change all of them, and if you can save the lives of those they've affected, even if it's only a few, it's worth the extra effort to help those who need it.

Trying to stop random people from killing themselves is cruel. You don't really care about them, you wouldn't give them the time of day if you had to actually put up with them in person. To stop someone from killing themselves then to leave them to their own devices will only make them attempt again sooner or later - it doesn't change them.

The only way to have any affect is to become personally connected to their lives, and even then, the decision to change lays entirely on them.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't understand why people try to stop suicides of people they really have no real connection to. You're just forcing your viewpoint on someone who doesn't agree with you and forcing them to do something they don't want to do.

Every day we commit suicide partially. I commit suicide when I consent to inhabit a dwelling where the sun never shines, a room where the ventilation is so inadequate that I feel like I am suffocated when I wake up.
