/jp/ I need your assistance, I've scoured the googles to find nothing. I recently changed computers and ever since then SA gets locked on the title screen scrolling endlessly. I've tried changing gamepads, using only the keyboard, reinstalling and changing my region back to english. I would appreciate it if dsomeone could help me out or at least steer me in the right direction.

trust me I've even switched keyboards. I was able to find one other person with the same problem but he asked for help on a random forum 2 years ago and no one answered.

Happens to me some times. After hitting down down up or something like that it seems to fix itself.
i would reinstall the OS if it doesn't work. I remember it being worse when trying to play through wine; it must be something related with direct input. Try messing with directx. Reinstalling it, replacing the dlls in the touhou folder, etc
Better get that OS disc ready.

it's always handy to have a spare win98 or win7 burnt CD/DVD, just incase you fubar something and need an immediate reformat/reinstall or you need to install a language pack.

I'm not sure actually having the CD lying around just makes me think someone purchased it. Then again I've only had one catastrophic HDD drive in the past 8 years so I couldn't tell you were my OS disk is for this computer.

I remember having this problem before, sadly I can't for the life of me remember how I managed to fix it. I hate it when this happens. Especially if I encounter the problem again and have to figure it all out again.

Same happens to me with MoF. At first I didn't know what it was, but then I closed google chrome and it worked. If you haven't, tried closing your internet browser. Good luck!

This happened to me. The only solution was to not touch the keyboard or move the mouse at all while the game was loading.

Did you only try starting it in fullscreen?

Once my game would always freeze after switching computers but after loading it windowed it worked again.
