The fact that in the end he got his cake and ate it too probably eased his stress. He will still feel guilt and have his awful memories but living his life with all the alive lab members without the baggage will ease that.. Feris' end or Suzuha's end would be the most difficult thing for him due to him not knowing the other lab members. Makes me wonder in the final world line if the heroines get their memories back...
