I know what you think about KS /jp/, but what does 2chan think about it? Any ideas?

I hear that they're offended by the name because Katawa is crude term for "cripple."

I enjoyed it and was able to separate it from how I feel about, and the manner in which I enjoy, Japanese VNs.

Also, I heard 2ch gives zero fucks about Cripple Fuck the VN.

The problem is... /v/ likes KS, but /jp/ feel tsundere for /v/. So, /jp/ is tsundere for KS.

They actually like it. The proof is that every day there are like 6 KS threads. But they don't want to admit it.

About japan's reaction... I don't know. Probably they didn't even notice, but it may be probably the same reaction. They feel tsundere for Western's first VN. It might be like if we stole his culture for them. They might be very upset.

As for Katawa shoujo, this word <Katawa> is little discriminative word.
But this word is old Japanese,so we do not use this word normally.
I think this expression is near to handicap in English.

Are you asking about 2ch or Futaba? I don't browse 2ch but Futaba's eroge board has/had a KS thread where most people seemed to not care about KS one way or the other but were laughing at Westerners for getting so cocky that "they" finally made an eroge like the Japanese.

The initial reaction from Japan when Act 1 demo came out was

I don't know how much buzz it's generating now. Everything in Japan is a fad, so it's possible KS is "old news" over there

After playing KS, it's become pretty clear that it's better than /jp/'s view of it, but also worse than /a/ and /v/ think it is. It's relatively good, and has more substance than generic nukige VNs, but doesn't compare to most "recommended" VNs. Also there's some lazy artwork in the game.

too lazy to read the 2ch thread, but I'd imagine most just don't give a shit outside of its novelty. it's not really anywhere close to being up to par with the best doujin releases, and just forget about comparing it to professional stuff.
