Hey guy's since your visual novels are in /v/ I thought maybe it would be a good idea to discuss video games here.

What's everybody's opinion on the Operation Flashpoint games?

>> No.8464159

Haven't heard of them.
You'll have to suggest something more mainstream.
I like Assassins' Creed.
Currently playing Brotherhood, aiming for full sync on everything (except those dungeons)

>>8464159
I'm not a fan of Assassin's creed myself but I can see why people like it though.

Have you played Yakuza 4?

>> No.8464164

If you want to talk about /v/ things, I think lolsorandumb stuff is more accurate than video games.

No, but it sounds like a shooter.
I'm not a fan of shooters.

Since I'm in need of MMOs I've just downloaded DCUO for both the PS3 and PC, it's kinda fun but I'd prefer playing it with friends.

Actually it's a beat-em-up game, here's a link to a review:

That dislike bar doesn't look forgiving.

Do you play any MMO's? /jp/ loves MMOs.
Personally I haven't been playing anything since I quit WoW years ago, but I'm really looking forward to Guild Wars 2. I love the art direction.

oh lawd I just now watched that video, disregard the guy's notes as he's retarded as fuck.

The game's good.

>>8464174

The dislikes are because hating IGN is the popular thing right now because they give anything that's not Call of Duty an 8 or lower etc.

I don't play MMO's, I mostly play single player games.

I fucking love em. From the first to red river. Pure gold.

I don't play MMOs or any FPS besides Doom (I & II).

I sorta felt like Dragon Rising had a better atmosphere than Red River, but Red River did have better controls.

I only play weeaboo games for weeaboos such as myself.

I agree, Red river did many things better but lacked the feel what made dragon rising great. I think if dragon rising wouldve allowed a good weapon selection screen, more open ended missions and a simple mission editor. It wouldve been game of the year, every year.

Arma series (with the orginal OF)>>>>>>Codemasters' console shit.

>> No.8464243

holy shit, what the fuck, I'm downloading FDF right now.

I remember some sort of a mod that made you carry around medical equipment needed to tread people. What was that called?

And is there a mod for thirst? Maybe even sleep and hunger?

>> No.8464265

I destroyed my life with MMOs. I don't play video games anymore. STGs are the only exception.

>> No.8464272

The original operation flashpoint on PC was hard as fuck but I enjoyed using the scenario creator to create massive set piece battles over towns.

Fun times.

>> No.8464295

Dragon Rising is to Operation Flashpoint what Fallout 3 is to the Fallout franchise.

I thought it was more of a Quake 3 to Quake 4 comparison.

What a little lying NEET you are.

>> No.8464371

I like ARMA, but I'm simply just not autistic enough to learn all the controls for shit like helicopters, jets, and tanks. And I always end up getting myself killed in a matter of minutes in the single player missions. I feel like I would be a detriment to any multiplayer game that I would join.

>> No.8464372

>>8464354

Same thing happened to me. Playing MMOs everyday for 10-12+ hours a day for a few years easily burns you out.

OFP a shit

>> No.8464785

Man I played the fuck out of operation flashpoint back in the day.
I made these crazy missions, like a super attack on a city that started with an A-10 bombing, then moved in with 3 black hawks full of troops, and a group of spec ops mixed in with guerrilla troops from the south. After a flag was hit(I think when a certain time was passed) A counter attack of russian tanks moved in, but at the same time 1 friendly attack helicopter also joined, it was fucking madness everytime, and you could play from any of the characters(Russians defending, the spec ops, troop in the blackhaws, the A-10 pilot...)

Damn OP you made me really nostalgic.
