In America there's Portland. In Britain it's Croydon (the birthplace of Dubstep).

What about Japan? What is the capital of the Japanese hipster?

I'd like to go with Harajuku. Too many indie bands i never heard of, Apple Store and shitty fashion.

Kyoto would count too since most of the districts are run by Commies and too many artsy events over there.
