Recently resubbed to WoW because 4.3 transmogrification led to an interesting look for my DK.

The armor and weapon are all vanilla world drops which made it a giant bitch to get.

Cornelia is a high pop server, but it seems like a large majority of the community is speaking Japanese. I might switch to a different high pop server once I find out why Final Fantasy is starting to run shittier than it used to.

Mobs not showing up is annoying as fuck.

I occasionally get on the game, but I gave up at the underwater area. Quests are the only sane way to gain xp and so much of the quests at that point involve drilling bullshit that I just stopped playing.

I played both games. Highest level I ever reached was level 23, highest level in maplestory I ever reached was 110.

You should probably just try out the game for yourself. I ended up enjoying maplestory more than trickster. I like how the maps go from day to night, but I just dislike not being able to fully control my character.

Funny enough my highest character in Maple Story was level 34 while my highest character in Trickster is level 271.

I burned myself out on Trickster years ago, I think the main problem was I just tried to play too many characters (4 on Fantasia, along with 3 on Jewelia that I gave up on much earlier). Every quest I'd gather 4x as many items, using a different character depending on who was more suitable, but then the killer was always drilling for 4x as many items. Not to mention I'd always try doing events on every character, and events always involved massive amounts of drilling. Even with my fox and her scan skill it just started sucking too much. The final straw was when I was trying to sell a spare 1st anniversary card and use the money to buy a bunch of shit I needed, but I entered the wrong number of 0's and sold it for almost nothing. Ragequit time.

I had so many cash shop items that I never even leveled enough to use (most of them bought with free event handouts rather than real money at least) which makes me sometime regret quitting. But it's just grinding for the sake of grinding some more, there was no endgame or anything, which kills any motivation every time I think about playing again.

I did like the official art, Ntreev always is good regarding that (like with Pangya), too bad there's hardly any fanart for Trickster though

That said, should we set up a wiki so that whoever on /jp/ wants to know what games people are on, where/who to find to play together? It would be much more enjoyable than playing single player MMOs. I was thinking of using the Hotglue wiki as it already has the base template.

My other three on Fantasia were two types of sheep and a DP cat on a 2nd account. The only trouble was some of those events where your account had to drill up a minimum number of items to qualify for the reward, so I had to do it on my cat as well.

I never even leveled her high enough to learn Siren Song though ;_; It was fun though being able to take 0 damage in a game that's normally about 1/2-shotting enemies and nearly dying if you ever get hit

Well I already basically said that was how I screwed up, too late now. In any case I'm staying away from endless grindan MMOs now, I'm too busy playing EU3 and I have other Paradox games waiting to be played too. Funny thing is it was right after I quit Trickster years ago and swore off Korean MMOs that I started playing HoI2 for the first time. (then after months of nothing but that I played WoW for a year; to this date, WoW is the only MMO I've ever lasted to endgame, on two characters no less)

Although I am waiting for Wakfu to have its last wipe (but I'm not totally sure if I'll play after all even then) and for Mechwarrior Online, but I bet I'll need a new computer, same with Diablo 3. Although hell, I really need a new computer just to play Vicky2 from what I've read.

It's like DFO and Dragonica in a sense, but too bad the characters customization are pretty limited. First 20 levels are easy to level though. I just play it for the >storyline and NPC chat dialogues. Would recommend it if you had nothing else to do.

Ragnarok Online MMORPG is fun and has a reasonable user community and active economy. It's not really grindy unless you don't know what you're doing. But that is part of the fun of discovery rather than being spoonfed. The official servers have switched to F2P (free to play) and unlike other F2P games, there is no time limit and you are not penalized so you can level up, wear gears, get skills, and travel all over. playragnarok com

Have been playing cosmic break and megaten imagine. Been trying to get back into Grand fantasia but I just dont think I can be asked to.

Also to anyone who plays Eden Eternal. I have not installed it nor have I tried it out yet but I noticed new races can be played. What are the chances of them being able to play that frog race? I would really like that.

I've been playing DotA 2 a lot recently, but it's the first time I've ever played a DotA-like, so I'm just practicing against bots to learn the heroes and such. It's still a lot of fun, though.

Well, I've been giving Rusty Hearts a try lately, since I can play it with a controller now. I've been using Angela and it plays like a decent brawler, even tho it's been a little too easy, but I guess it spikes after a while, I'm not even level 15 yet. Also, I've *heard* it lacks a bit on lategame content, and I don't really understand the rules to grouping, since I got shitty experience the one time I tried, despite killing most of the mobs in the area we were in.

Other than that, eh. Hat simulator sometimes, and I played Castlevania HD once in a while before festivities, but I've been without my PS3 for 2 weeks and only have it back now. My friends dragged me in a FB game from Koram (King of Kungfu) where they have an union, and I check that once in a while. Used to play Knights of The Crystals until Square Enix went and said "We're gonna close this game on 2/29 without giving any explanation of our reasons for doing so, and while still updating the game meanwhile, so be sure to spend all your cash shop money before we do!". I'm starting to think that S-E REALLY doesn't know how to manage online games.

Also, I play MUDs. If any of you think you know grindfests, I assure you, nothing beats an italian MUD I wont mention, that I've been playing for 10 years(and I mean that, I started 2001), I have all the possible lore there can be about the game, from game mechanics to mobs to room descriptions, and I still have grinding left to do. Also I've come to be reciprocally hated by 80% of the playerbase, but eh.

That said, I really like Ivalicemud (ivalicemud.com 6712), a FF themed mud which is rather grindy (even tho that's changing soon), but also really solid and with a cool, hardworking coder. The only problem is that the nearly non-existant playerbase is making the owner thinking of shutting it down. If any of you guys wanna try it, you're likely to not be bothered by other players, and some people actually playing would keep the game going.

Nah, it's actually a lot more classic, with a fantasy(high)/Ancient Roman setting, many adapted Diku stock areas, and 11 modified over time stock classes.
Reaching max level is easy (an experience player with support can do it in one day), but it's just the beginning. Then, there's the grinding for gear and gems(for character/equipment modding), which is 90% group/guild based. To put it in perspective, some of the best gear is obtained so: Super Hard Drow Quest spawns once per boot(12 hours). SHDQ can be done by only one group, the first one that goes there and grabs token item to token hidden wandering mob in the area. SHDQ is hard, and can be done with about 3 high tier characters (if they have a dedicated healer) or about 6 mid-tier characters, in 1-3 hours. It also had a dragon that breathes acid, and has a good chance of destroying equipment with low ac(read: 80% of the low tier quest gear). It is also rather convoluted and requires some specific rituals to complete. Good luck finding them out if you're not in a guild. SHDQ doesn't give gear, but one at random of 6 prize items. IF you know the right combinations, 9 of those prize items can be crafted into an (admittedly very good) equipment piece, in a specific secret/secluded place. Remember, that's 14 prizes top per week, total for all playes, assuming someone doesn't mess up/give up. And strong guilds have a much greater chance to get them. Good luck if you're not in one.

Thanks to the anon that helped me level up yesterday. I've been having a lot of fun now that I can use different weapons.

I still don't know how to feed my MAG though... I've been reading a guide, but when I go to f12 -> item pack -> MAG -> the give items option is greyed out.

See if you can get someone to give you a level 200 mag or it is going to be very very boring.

been playing SWTOR even though I wasn't going to buy it because the Scoundrel/Operative class is a fun healer/damage combo in pvp. Also playing MBAA when I'm bored of that.

I can tell that, but I don't mind. I'm just playing it casually. I like reading about the story in the games too and exploring the levels, they're all pretty interesting. I don't really care about stat maxing.

Also that FOmarl is the only character that looked ok in the character creation. I'm very picky about character looks in RPGs and most of the classes just looked tacky. I think I could have gotten the FOnewearl to look ok with the right colors but it was taking too long so I gave up.

weird? it's simple enough, action palette (thing with the four boxes on bottom-right) holds 3 actions that can be whatever (attacks,techs,items) you just press the button for it, holding ctrl brings up another set of 3 buttons.
then you can use 0-9 keys if you want
honestly the only thing complicated is the combos, it just involve timing, you press attack after your previous attack hits, so you can't just spam attack and do 3-hit combos rapidly.
quite honestly i find PSO less confusing than a LOT of MMOs
hell not having to use a mouse/keyboard PERIOD is a godsend!

Yeah. There were hundreds of 4chan members all using the same proxies during the beta though, whereas there are probably less than 10 now. You'll have a much better chance of finding a working proxy, probably.
