/jp/ being elitist as fuck actually really helped me:
-I upgraded from a secondary Touhou fan to a primary one and never looked back. The games are awesome, and I have lots of fun playing them.
-I started studying Japanese consistently, so I could move away from the translations and go straight to the originals. And actually seeing myself progress through this task helped me to combat my depression.
