I made a game about hikikomori for 48-hour game making competition Ludum Dare 22. I figured /jp/ might be interested in it.

The problem isn't .NET but the Unity Engine, which the GUI uses. The entire GUI would need to be rewritten to work on Linux systems.
Theoretically I could release a Mac version (and possibly Android/iOS), but I don't think anybody cares about those platforms. (Mac likely needs no changes at all, so if I'm wrong, just tell me.)

It's pretty realistic I feel. In general the game has a good atmosphere to it as the 'living in the dark NEET hikkikomori'.
Although balance wise I feel that suicide is a little too sudden at exactly 100 depression.

Originally, the option was 'browse textboards/imageboards' but that wouldn't find in the box, so I reduced it to only the more hikki-related textboards (specifically 2ch). If you look at the photos very closely, you can see that you're actually also browsing Futaba and /jp/ in two of the five pictures.

Hahaha oh god playing this is so terribly fucking awkward. I wouldn't say depressing, but it's making me want to be a NEET again. Also, the game needs a motivation stat that decreases each day by an amount inversely proportional to your money. Having more motivation would decrease your chances of procrastianting when you attempt to do work/apply for job/etc.
