Lets post some ideas for a Touhou themed eroge and offer suggestions for improvement.

Aya and Hatate are famous photographers for gravure idols, and you play as their their college aged intern and assistant.

There'd be a light stat building system like True Love or Princess Maker and you'd need to work towards certain stats to unlock the ability to court different girls. High artistry and business skill would unlock Aya and Hatate as you show you're a capable photographer that knows how to take the best pictures that magazines want.

Other girls would be Nitori who runs an electronics shop that sells and repairs cameras, Kanako the company owner, Reimu, Marisa, and Suwako as some of the gravure idols etc.

I've been mulling over an idea lately.

After posting in a portal thread, a random /jp/er is gapped into Gensokyo by Yukari. At first, the anon is ecstatic, but things take a darker turn as Yukari tells him about why he was really brought here. Yukari lurks imageboards and forums across the web searching for the perfect loser once every year. This poor sod is gapped in with the intention of making a perfect meal out of him. Otakus are the perfect meat, soft and tender like venison from not doing any physical activity, loners so no one will miss them, and if you already gave up on life and planned to open up a portal, why not make yourself useful?
However, Yukari gives an ultimatum. If the poor Anon can escape Gensokyo in under 3 months, he will leave with his life. There is also a brighter side, if he can get just one Touhou to vouch for him, he will be able to return to Gensokyo, this time without being eaten. Only problem is that almost every Touhou hates a loser such as you and some will try to eat you yourself. And as if Reimu or Marisa has time to help you out.

So, will you just accept your fate, or will you try to make your escape from the paradise you loved so much, perhaps allying with the weaker, stupider, or less hateful of the Touhous and perhaps trying to melt the cold hearts of others?

Life is boring, dying is the best exit so you are about to pull the trigger, the last second a gap opens behind you and lots of tentacles emerge restraining you and taking away the gun, then you are sucked in them, you fall unconscious.
When you're back in yourself the land around you has changed, you are in a forest and you start wandering around screaming, trying find someone else, suddenly something poops out of the ground and begins to chase you, after 5 minutes of frenetic run you fall and the thing appears, jumps over you and 1 second before thrusting her fangs in your throat it burst in flames, you fell a grip in your wrist you and something pull you out of the fire, a tall girl with silver hair and red pants is in front of you, as soon as she realizes you are conscious she asks:

And as if they would accept outside currency or anything not yen.
And let's say that Yukari paid her more to ignore you and she just doesn't really care for someone like yourself in general. Maybe if you tried to win her heart over, or at least tried to make her not hate you, she may reconsider. But that's just the course of the game. If you find a way to convince Reimu to protect you, then good for you.

But at the start, you are shit out of luck. Figure something out or you are Youkai food.

But if you manage to scrounge up enough money to get Reimu's protection or for her to let you out, well then that's one way out. There should be many ways out that one could find.

This would imply she goes shopping in the real world, and she doesn't as far as I am concerned. If you do insist of continuing this line of logic, just bring gold or anything else that's valuable regardless of currency.

I've always seen Reimu as a sceptic. She won't bother with anything if she's not 100% sure it will pay off. Why would she accept money she can't use? The only one interested would be nerds and collectors like Rinnosuke, and it's not like he can pay her much.

You are the ones that tried to get Reimu to help you out, which very well may be the hardest route of them all.

This doesn't seem that difficult. Even the most hikki anon has a good chance of having a decent level of outsider knowledge, which could be put to use in a variety of ways. I know when I'm not fapping or such I spend a lot of time reading Wikipedia about history and mathematics, for example. In the simplest case you could leverage it into a job assisting Keine with teaching in the human village, and from there build up enough rep to leverage a ticket out of Gensokyo.

Of course, that would be the easiest route, there'd be other, harder ones too, right? Nightmare-mode would be seducing Yukari herself.

Getting on Keine's good side might be a possibly easy route, but actually getting out of Gensokyo is the hard part. . It's after you escape that someone can vouch for your return.
Only by teaming up with several Touhous and forming a creative plan can you escape. A successful one should be the hardest part. One needs to put their skills to the test and work with what friends you make. I'm sure even the most hopeless of Anons have some skills that can be useful.

Of course, there should be alternatives. Like you could become Satori's pet instead of escaping and just live your life like that. Or becoming a spirit.

And yes, Yukari would be the Nightmare-Lunatic Extra route. Seducing her enough to allow you to live.

Any less motivated Anon can just enjoy their stay at the Yakumo household, playing with Chen and having Ran be your mother. Every quickly passing and wasted day, you will eat her delicious meals as she fattens you up and you forget why you were worried in the first place...

Well, anon might be able to get her to use her Hakutaku powers to help him, which would help a great deal. I think persuading her to do this would be the easiest, especially given that she would be revolted by Yukari's game by default.

...I'm now imagining a Keine "True End" where >>8246031 happens, but with Keine becoming the ruler. Perhaps anon, through perfect eroge play, manages to thoroughly and genuinely make Keine fall in love with him, only to reveal somewhat later that he is doomed. Keine flies into a violent rage and defeats Yukari in some large showdown etc. etc.

Actually I think I'm just a Keine fanboy and that would just probably be Keine fanboy wankery. But its an eroge anyway, so maybe wankery is OK? I dunno.

Most of the phenomena of Touhou lies in its fanbase, which is made up of wankery. So I think its perfectly fine, we can do whatever we want in a VN.

However, I think there should be less direct fights and more scheming and planing. No anon could possibly take on most of the powerful Touhou, so he needs to think out of the box.
And Yukari is rather powerful in her own right. While I question if Keine could honestly defeat her, I still think people blow Yukari's power way out of proportion.

It shouldn't be "My favorite Touhou beats up Yukari and we live happily ever after," it should be "Me and my favorite Touhous think up of a clever plot to escape and perhaps return"

I never said fight Yukari. In fact I am against such a thing.
She gave you a chance to escape, that's where the planning should be. Trying to defeat Yukari would be a moot fight. You need to think of a clever plan to escape, all of which she is probably aware of, but curious to see if you can figure any of them out.
Any successful or fail escape plan merely serves for her own amusement.

Maybe outsmart other Touhous, though, if it's necessary to escape.
