I guess it was to be expected, although on the other hand it's also a bit surprising. I thought Capcom was going downhill and sticking to guaranteed sales and now this happens?

I think there is money in a project like this.
Too bad business execs seemingly has no idea about either their products or their market.
Like bringing over titles from 2005 that was fan translated years ago and anyone interested already played.
Or making silly and necessary localization choices.
