Would any of you in the area around Connecticut like a laptop? It's a Dell Inspiron 1720.

It is a terrible laptop. It's missing the F1 and F3 keys, the 1 key, and tab. The the hard drive bay door has broken off, the battery only holds a charge of a half hour or so, and the rubber pads the bottom of the machine used to rest on are gone.

That said, it has a 17 inch screen, a 2.20GHz dual core processor, collective storage of about 300GB or so, and an Nvidia 8600M GT video card.

Free to a home of some sort, you'd just need to come and get it from the Connecticut shoreline.

Comes with a recovery partition, so you'll get everything it had when it was shipped from the factory.
