8165602 No.8165602 [Reply] [Original]

I have seen multiple renditions of a /jp/ compound, ranging from a mansion on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, to Italian villas.

But I wonder, why can't /jp/ live together on some sort of large vessel? Perhaps a shipping vessel, where we cruise the high seas delivering merchandise, watching anime and playing VNs and Touhou while on our journeys to and from Japan?

As long as we do not sail near Africa, which would not be a problem so long as we simply ship from Japan to America and vice versa, we should not have too many problems with security.

With the recent advances in ship board internet, internet speed should not be too much of an issue, given that they are rapidly approaching their land-based equivalents.

Our shipping business could provide us with all of the necessary supplies that we need, and, shared somewhat equitably, could more than pay for a few trips to Akihibara.

What do you say, /jp/?

>> No.8165612

it'd be boarded by pirates who would turn into shitposters upon seeing this post and then suddenly there would be an entire navy of /jp/ boats and we'd rule the seas raiding ocean territory and sucking cocks

That's... actually a pretty good idea.

>Who's going to buy our chinese cartoon shit?

I assume our main hauling would be standard commercial cargo, to fund the /jp/ lifestyle.

Plus, we would all be sailors. And that would be amazing.

I've already said this in the other thread. when the civil war in Syria escalates, Assad's regime will be short on manpower on default, just like Libya was, which is why Gaddafi started bringing mercenaries from all over Africa. All we need to do is to wait until the conflict gets worse and then take a plane to Damascus before a no fly zone is established by NATO, go to the nearest military base and volunteer. Between plane tickets and other stuff we will need 3000 USD per person. we can form our own PMC

As fun as that sounds, I am sure the first time we went to port we would end up either hitting the pier or hitting the ship stopped further in and knocking the majority of the containers into the water. Or maybe we'd hit a crane or two and lose a few million dollars.

adding to this. It's really not as hard or unrealistic as it sounds. For example i was about to travel to tripoli earlier this year to volunteer but I was too late and the no fly zone was established. it's all about the timing, once the civil war starts there will be a short time window (between 2 to 7 days) to travel there. military experience is easily faked and i think that /jp/ would look like badass psychos if they shaved their heads.

it will take time, but the conflict will escalate. Syria is Iran's supply route to Hezbollah in Lebanon, so the Mossad and the CIA have a interested in getting it shut down.
