Madcatz TE only works with select USB interfaces, and I've had troubles myself making it work on some of my computers. Not something I'd recommend for PC.

I'm not sure if hori sticks have this issue, but just check for PS3 sticks. Hori RAP3 and Madcatz TE are the more high end and popular ones, unless you intend to build your own.
